3.Trouble with Connection

(1) On Host PC

1. Windy31 is installed completely and trying to connect to Windy31 from another wireless device, but the connection is blocked or not established.

☞ You will see this message if windy31 is installed on a personal firewall software operating computer.(Such as, Zone Alarm, McAfee Personal Firewall, My Firewall, Sygate Personal Firewall, Etc.)

☞ Reconnect after temporary deactivation of firewall program.
* To allow internet connection in firewall software program, refer to each software’s
Instruction guide or manual.


2. Windy31 Enabler’s number keeps on looping.

1) Number loops between 0X and 4X Solution:
Check viruses and Spywares, delete and reboot. Then reinstall.


2) Number loops between 50 and 59 Solution:
If you have your firewall turned on, turn it off. Reboot and reinstall.If the firewall is turned off, check virus and Spywares, delete and reboot to reinstall.

3) Number loops between 60 and 69 Solution:
need to check the PC's network settings.
If this happens, please e-mail or call us for further information.

4) Number loops between 7X - 8X Solution:
Shut down“Windy31 Enabler.exe”. Reinstall Windy31.


3. When you reboot your computer or reconnect Windy31, Windy31 Enabler will be restarted automatically again.
☞ Whenever Windy31 reconnects, Windy31 Enabler will restart the setup automatically.


(2) On Client Wi-Fi Device
1. Successfully installed but cannot get on the internet.
☞ Need to change settings on the network connections (On Client PC)

1) Start - control panel - network connections - right click on "Local Area Connection (wireless internet connection)” - select 'properties'

2) On General tab, scroll down until you see 'internet Protocol (TCP/IP)'. Click on 'properties'

3) Make sure you check on 'Obtain an IP address automatically' and 'Use the Following DNS server address' and input the host computer's DNS address.

* Host Computer: The PC that has Windy31 plugged in.
* Client Computer: The PC you want to get internet connection.

*Tip: To check your Host Computer's IP Address and DNS address,
follow the instructions below.
(Start - Run - Type "cmd" then press enter - Type “ipconfig -all” then press enter
/ You'll get your computer’s IP address and DNS address.)

2. Internet does not work on client Wi-Fi device even though it is connected to Windy31.

☞ Please check the IP Address of wireless client
"Start"->"Run"->type "cmd"->type "ipconfig/all" then you can see the IP address of wireless client. It must be 192.168.33.xxx

3. Client Wi-Fi device cannot receive the IP address even if you unblocked the firewall and security setting.

☞ You must directly input the IP address.
Please refer to the Installation Guide, “Directly input IP address” on pages 27 and 28.

4. You cannot access internet on client Wi-Fi device for a long time if the host computer turns to power saving mode

☞ 1. Do not use power saving mode at host computer.
☞ 2. Or reconnect the Windy31 to the host computer.

5. “svchost.exe” error occurs during the usage of Windy31 or the installation of Windy31 S/W

☞ After the un-installation of Windy31 S/W, check your computer for virus and spyware, and update the operating system to its latest version. Then install Windy31 again.
